1956-1980...“Only one who wanders finds new paths.”– Norwegian Proverb

In the mid 1800's my great-grandparents immigrated from Norway and Sweden to homestead a successful farm in central Idaho. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I grew up exploring the vast diversity of beautiful outdoor venues that were always easily accessible. I was a self-taught landscape photographer before becoming a full time corporate and advertising commercial photographer based in Denver Colorado and then in Houston Texas.

1981-2010... Oh, the places you will go!"– Dr. Suess.

Upon graduating from the University of Idaho I relocated to Denver Colorado and in 1982 I took a major photographic career step forward by moving to Houston Texas for a full time position with an advertising photography studio. I was at the right place at the right time and quickly gained experience in the realm of large team campaign focused advertising and corporate photography. During my 19 years in Houston I photographed commissioned assignments in 78 countries for multinational Fortune 500 clients.

2011-2020... "Better to see something once than hear about it a thousand times." - Asian Proverb.

Relocating back to Colorado I resided in Boulder for a few years then moved back to the Pacific Northwest and currently reside in Portland Oregon. My travels around the world and love for backcountry explorations are a constant inspiration for creating photographic artworks.

2021-Present... “Travel brings power and love back into your life.”- Rumi.

Each image I create is more than a photograph—it’s a visual narrative, a moment in time that speaks to the deeper story of our planet’s interconnected ecosystems. My work is driven by the desire to translate natures elegance into compelling compositions that resonate on both an emotional and spiritual level. For the discerning collector, each limited edition print offers not just an aesthetic experience, but a meaningful connection to the earth—an invitation to bring the soulful essence of wild places into personal or institutional spaces.
